NEW MEMBERS ARE WELCOME!

Bea took over as director after the death of Debbie this fall.
Candace has been our accompanist for several years.

The Musicale is sad to inform you of the passing of our beloved music director, Debbie Bussineau-King. Debbie died quietly in her Lexington home on Sunday, September 28, 2025. Debbie’s death is a huge loss for Musicale, the community, her family and friends, and each of us personally. Her leadership of The Port Huron Musicale Women’s Chorus has brought us extraordinary musicianship, expanded insights into the art of choral singing, great stories, and lots of fun.
Debbie was a singer her entire life, dedicating it to music. She was Soloist Section Leader at St. Marks Episcopal Church in San Antonio, TX, Choir Director at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lexington, Director of the Port Huron Musicale Women’s Chorus since 2016.
Debbie was a Professor Emerita of Music at University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio for many years. She and Syd met in Texas singing and traveling to many choirs around San Antonio.
She will be missed.
